BUT FIRST, COFFEE. I’ve been having so much fun exploring Tampa with Chris! I know I grew up in the area, but I have a new found appreciation now that I get to relax and take my time to check out new businesses and shops. One of the perks of dating a med student…they know all the best coffee shops 😉 We’ve been coffee-shop-hopping in the down town Tampa area looking for great places to work/study. Below you will find my favorite four spots so far we’ve come across.
Cold brew for lifeeee. Bar by night and great coffee by day, Ginger Beard is located in Pour House Channel Side. Open from 8 am – 2 pm, come here for one of the best nitro cold brews you’ll ever have. While most places only have one option, these guys have 4 or 5 types on tap at a time. My favorite is their peanut butter half-caf. Finally, a cold brew that won’t make you feel like a crazy person (at least if you’re as sensitive to caffeine I am)! And yep, the owners both have big red beards hence the name.
One of DT Tampa’s most loved coffee shops, they now have two locations! If you’re going to study I recommend the Hyde Park location because its a bit more quiet, but if you’re just looking for a place to enjoy some good coffee or hangout with friends definitely head over to the Kennedy location. They also have amazing avocado toast and sandwiches at that one ❤
Located in Tampa Heights, Foundation definitely wins for best atmosphere. They have the cutest outdoor patio section with a ton of tables. And they’re strategically shaded so its not even hot out there at all! Can’t wait to go back there soon.
Located right in downtown, Caffeine made my list because their Orange Cold Brew. Yuuummm.
